Increase your earnings with Google AdSense Section Targeting
When your writing in a blog with a wide range of topics, more often, you’ll find the trouble of getting the desired type of ads to appear in your Google AdSense. When this happens, we can say that AdSense becomes less useful for both advertiser and publisher since the desired market is not targeted. To avoid encountering this problem, Google AdSense developed Section Targeting for them to know which part of your site they will use in determining which ads to display. Displaying relevant ads increases your CTR (Click Through Rate), thus increasing your earnings.
What is Section Targeting?
Section Targeting, as Google AdSense defines it, is a mechanism which allows you (publisher) to suggest sections of your (publisher) text and HTML content that you’d like us (AdSense) to emphasize or downplay when matching ads to your site’s content. By providing us (AdSense) with your suggestions, you can assist us in improving your ad targeting.
Section targeting allows you to suggest sections of your text and HTML content that you’d like us to emphasize or downplay when matching ads to your site’s content. By providing us with your suggestions, you can assist us in improving your ad targeting. We recommend that only those familiar with HTML attempt to implement section targeting.
How can Section Targeting help increase my AdSense earnings?
By using Adsense Section Targeting, you are given the freedom to indirectly control which Ads to display in your site. The more relevant the Ads that appears in your site, the higher the chances of getting a good Click Through Rate (Ratio). Click Through Rate or Ratio (CTR) is the rate at which users click on your ads. This is calculated by dividing the total number of clicks by the total number of impressions. Most of the time, higher CTR means higher earnings.
Is this an assurance of getting good earnings?
No. Google AdSense does not assure good earnings or even relevant ads when Section Targeting is implemented. Section Targeting only assists Google Adsense’s algorithm in determining which sections of your website are more important and which sections are to be ignored.
How do I implement Section Targeting?
Section Targeting is implemented by placing these comment tags within your website’s HTML code. Here’s a basic example of how you can implement Google AdSense Section Targeting in your website. (I have implemented this in my Erin Andrews Peephole Tape Torrent post.) This example shows how to emphasize or target one section of your site.
<!– google_ad_section_start –>
Section of your site that needs to be targeted.
<!– google_ad_section_end –>
Here’s another example which shows how you can exclude (ignore) sections of your blog from getting targeted.
<!– google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) –>
Section of your site that you want to AdSense to ignore.
<!– google_ad_section_end –>
Section targeting is best if implemented in the section of your site where the main content is located. For WordPress blogs, you may place the code before your post’s body. Please see example below:
<!– google_ad_section_start –>
<?php the_content(); ?>
<!– google_ad_section_end –>
You may also want to include the ignore section tags in your sidebar, footer and other sections of your site which you think are irrelevant.

Nitrosaint on August 28th, 2009
hala naku mahirap na ma-unban ang na ban na adsense.
try mo mag-reapply or magsubmit ka ng explanation kung bakit hindi dapat naban ang adsense mo.
jehzlau on September 10th, 2009
Pag na ban ka dahil sa invalid click activity, 0.00000001% nalang ang chance mo para ba mabalik yung account mo.
